Since 1882, the Shamrock has serviced the needs of locals and visitors alike. The well maintained heritage listed hotel is detailed with Federation and Edwardian features and decorative stained glass windows across the front of the building, perhaps a nod to the building’s rich history.
The Shamrock Hotel Motel Temora offers two accommodation options – classic country motel and hotel rooms at the one location – sure to meet the needs of travellers, tourists, tradespeople, revellers and more.
A total of 44 guests can be accommodated across 19 rooms.
The motel consists of 7 rooms, all located at ground level at the rear of the hotel, with vehicle access available from Hoskins Street. Parking is included at the front of each room.
The hotel accommodation is located upstairs in the Federation style hotel building which fronts Hoskins Street. Stay a night or two in one of the 12 the pubs rooms just like the pioneers of the late 1800s but with much more comfortable beds and mod-cons including some with ensuites, bar fridges and reverse cycle air conditioning.
Four hotel rooms with ensuites feature French doors opening onto the wide verandah. An additional ‘penthouse’ room also opens onto the verandah and hallway, giving access to the shared bathrooms which service the remaining seven rooms. Communal tea and coffee facilities are on offer in the hallway, with access onto the verandah where you can sit back and enjoy a cuppa.
After hours secure entry is available via the rear of the hotel.
The hotel itself features a popular local bar featuring seven beers on tap and a wide range of wines and spirits. A newly developed sports bar area has expanded the floor space indoors, and coupled with the revamped rear beer garden provides options for families and large groups to enjoy the hotel’s hospitality.
Further developments in the not too distant future will include a restaurant, meaning visitors can stay, eat and play at the Shamrock Hotel Motel Temora.
