The reopening of the Shamrock Hotel Motel Temora, or the ‘Shammy’ as it is fondly know by the locals has seen the return of one of Temora’s social institutions welcoming regulars and visitors alike, just as it has done since Michael Comyns established the hotel way back in 1882 to service the burgeoning gold fields which had established in the area.
Closed for a very short period in late 2019 after a change of ownership, March 2020 has seen the doors flung open again to the accommodation, bar and restaurant. The much loved main bar of the Shammy remains the place for the loyal regulars to return, while the modern sports bar offers more floor space, seating, lounge areas and a big screen TV. Families and groups are also accommodated with a welcoming and revamped beer garden at the rear of the hotel.
The bar features six icy cold beers on tap plus a wide range of wines and spirits.
